Edge PDC engaged Design Network to build the final, production ready cabinetry set for the ADVIA Centaur XPT Immunoassay System.
Siemens industrial design and engineering groups provided the Edge PDC/Design Network team with a preliminary database including (1) an approved appearance model, (2) the analyzer support frame and (3) an envelope defining clearance to all internal components.
Design Network developed the final CAD database for cabinetry components and attachment hardware. The final BOM part count was 24 injection molded or structural foam components with 23 sheet-metal panels and brackets. Edge PDC completed part drawings and component assemblies including GD&T and part specifications as defined by Siemens’ engineering standards.
